5th Principals’ Meet of TNAI
The 5th Principals’ Meet of TNAI, Uttar Pradesh was successfully held on 14th June 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Sahara College of Nursing & Paramedical Sciences, Lucknow. The event was organized by the TNAI UP State Branch under the convenorship of Mrs. Bhumika Singh, State Secretary, and chaired by Dr. Dipti Shukla, Vice President, who represented President Mrs. Kumudini Mishra.
The meeting focused on several key discussions. Firstly, preparations for the upcoming 31st National SNAI Biennial Conference to be held in Pune in November 2025 were reviewed, with emphasis on logistics and the need for early delegate selection and registration by SNA Unit Advisors. Secondly, the State SNA Conference 2025 was scheduled for 20th–21st September 2025, with SCPM College of Nursing, Gonda selected as the host through majority vote, and responsibilities for budget, events, and arrangements were discussed in detail.
The third agenda addressed the nominations for Best SNA Units and Scientific Paper Presentations, with a submission deadline of 15th July 2025, after which entries will be screened by a state-level committee. The fourth point involved finalizing the SNA Calendar of Events for 2025, which will be published by 15th July, and EC Zonal Coordinators will oversee its implementation, including leadership training for SNA members. Lastly, the rules and regulations for upcoming competitions were reviewed, with a clear directive for all units to follow TNAI HQ guidelines strictly; a summarized guideline booklet will be shared for reference.

Report on International Webinar Series Organized by TNAI U.P. State Branch On the Occasion of International Nurses Day 2025
The Trained Nurses’ Association of India (TNAI), Uttar Pradesh State Branch, in collaboration with Rama College of Nursing, SINPS, and Dnip Care, successfully organized an International Webinar Series from 7th to 14th May 2025 to commemorate International Nurses Day. This insightful event was held daily from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, bringing together nursing professionals, educators, and students from around the world to reflect on the evolving role of nurses in today’s healthcare landscape.
Objectives
To celebrate the contribution of nurses to global health.
To foster international collaboration in nursing education and practice.
To inspire future directions in healthcare through insights shared by global leaders in nursing and medicine. Summary of Sessions
Day 1: 07 May 2025
Speaker: Ms. Karen Drayton (Australia)
Topic: “A Voice to Lead – A Vision for Future Health Care”
Ms. Drayton highlighted the crucial role of nurses in shaping future healthcare systems, stressing the importance of leadership, innovation, and patient advocacy.
Day 2: 08 May 2025
Speaker: Dr. Rakesh Garg
(Onco-Anesthesiologist and Palliative Medicine Specialist, Delhi)
Topic: “Palliative Care”
Dr. Garg emphasized the value of palliative care in improving the quality of life for patients with chronic and terminal illnesses, advocating for a multidisciplinary approach in nursing.
Day 3: 09 May 2025
Speaker: Dr. Renu Susan Thomas
(President, TNAI Kerala)
Topic: “Nurses Make a Difference”
Dr. Thomas inspired attendees with stories and evidence of how nurses play a transformative role in patient care, community well-being, and health system improvements.
Day 4: 10 May 2025
Speaker: Dr. Prema Balusamy

Topic: “Closing the Gap from Evidence to Action”
Dr. prema underscored the importance of evidence-based nursing practice and translating research into actionable care strategies to improve health outcomes.
Day 5: 14 May 2025
Speaker: Dr. Ropa Rawat Singhvi
Topic: “Our Nurses, Our Future: The Economic Power of Care”
Dr. Singhvi highlighted the economic significance of nursing in healthcare, calling for increased investment in nursing education, workforce development, and policy leadership.
Conclusion
The International Webinar Series was a significant milestone in professional development and global engagement for the nursing community. Organized by the TNAI U.P. State Branch, it provided an enriching platform for knowledge exchange, skill enhancement, and collective celebration of the nursing profession. The sessions echoed the spirit of International Nurses Day 2025, empowering nurses to lead change and champion health through excellence in care.
